Might be since I'm nitpicking but in the flashback he's in his orange suit and it isn't visible if his suit is ripped from him smashing his temporal stabilizer. His was in a purple one when he get hit by Judy: http://drmcninja.com/archives/comic/20p15/
Which makes me think maybe it isn't a flashback but another Chuck?

Nah. Chuck and Doc put on orange suits to launch the shuttle. He ripped his in the time trip, but then took Doc's un-ripped suit when Doc found his clothes at the Dead Doctor Memorial.
