Theo I hope you don't mind, I used your post to start the thread off. This way you get the credit for remembering what date it is ;)

So, to the discussion! Today's page: I continue to be impressed with Gordito. He learns quickly and well.

Let's hear it again for Gordito!

Would Doc say "dude" like that? Is he unwittingly becoming more radical?

Well I'm on a music forum. And everyone was checking that people woke Billie Joe up...

Incidentally, am I wrong to say the inking has been 'scrappy' for this week's pages?

I hadn't noticed myself, but if that's the case it may be because Dr Hastings is still learning to cope with the added burden of inking the comics himself? I wouldn't blame him!

It does remind me of the earlier comics, or the occasional one where he'd take over the job from Kent. I just don't think Hastings is as good at inking as Kent is, but I'm sure since he's doing it for every comic now that he will improve over time.

I guess I just find it odd because Kent's been absent since the end of 'Gets Rad' and I hadn't noticed really with the other pages. But as mikekearn this has looked more like the famous pane that Kent refused to ink from D.A.R.E. I guess he must be really busy just now.

I think Doctor Hastings just has other things on his mind.

I thought the B&W art for 'Stolen Pizza-Stolen Lives' was awesome, but that was only five pages. Maybe it's just the amout of labor he's looking at that is unnerving.
It always starts the same way. I am in the garden airing my terrapin Jetta when he walks past my gate, that mysterious man in black and white.
'Hello Doctor,' I say. 'What are you doing in Dusseldorf?'
