July 2010 Discussion

Remember when your parents told you your dog got sent to a farm? This is that farm, except it's full of old monthly discussion threads.

The kitten is only bait to lead Judy into a trap.
When she is abducted, it will take more than one man to save her. It will take...a team.
It always starts the same way. I am in the garden airing my terrapin Jetta when he walks past my gate, that mysterious man in black and white.
'Hello Doctor,' I say. 'What are you doing in Dusseldorf?'

Something heart-wrenchingly horrible is about to happen to that kitten.

Has Doc not realized that Judy hung up yet?

I don't think he has, dexeron. Which can only make the reveal of her buying a kitten all the more amusing.

Also, I really like the "taking care of the pet" montage here. It's a nice touch.

A 5 page comic; the shortest one yet! Unless you count the original post of issue on half, which was only a page long.

I feel terrible for that kitten, I was just starting to like it. :(

I CALLED IT!!!! . . . although I honestly thought this would be the start of a new adventure instead of a 5 page comic. . . .

Next scene, Judy has Yoshi in a headlock with the end of a swivel chair forcing Yoshi's mouth open as she desperately reaches inside Yoshi to try and save what's left of the kitten. Hastings, in all kindness, does not show us what Judy managed to salvage. . . .

Look at that mouth. No blood. Nice try, but there's no way Yoshi could have eaten him.

Swallowed him whole? A kitten like that would be a bite-size chompable for a velociraptor.

Next page: Judy goes to grief counseling. Doc tries to convert Yoshi to vegetarianism.
